I have just added to our "Chapter One" page a detailed transcription (with original line breaks, misspellings, etc., all carefully taken down) of the first chapter of a manuscript [OR 262] of the Bhagavadgītā translation sometimes known as the Āb-i zindagī and sometimes attributed to Prince Dara Shukoh or to his patronage. This transcription primarily consists of fine original work by Raffaello De Leon-Jones Dian, with some checking and revision by myself (and re-checking and revision by Raffaello, and final revision again by me). While not an edition, I have added footnotes referring to other manuscripts at points where the transcription would otherwise become confusing to the reader. We will eventually upload an English translation of the first chapter of the Āb-i zindagī, but this will wait on more original manuscript work and a possible original edition for the site.
